FAQs & Fees

Are your fees covered by OHIP?

OHIP only covers medical doctors; Psychiatrists and GP Psychotherapists. However, we are covered by private health insurance. Please check your insurer to verify coverage and any reimbursement you may be applicable for.

You are responsible for making payment after every session and a receipt will be provided to you by email so you can request reimbursement directly from your insurer. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Interac.

What languages do you provide services in?

We provide psychotherapy and counseling services in English.

What Help is Available to Me?

If you have anxiety, depression or PTSD, we provide counseling services with a psychotherapist.

What is Everyone's Position in the Practice?

Dayana Romero & Richard Piekarczyk-Vacca are Registered Psychotherapists. They are registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Please check with your private insurance to confirm what services you are covered for. Direct bill is available for some of these services.

No Shows and Missed Appointments

If you make an initial appointment and don’t call to cancel, the practitioner in question will decide if another appointment can be booked.

24 hours notice is required to cancel any appointment. Should you not cancel your appointment within 24 hours or are a ‘No Show’, your credit card will be charged in full for the missed appointment. No refunds will be given.

What are my rights?

You have the right to have everything you say at each session kept confidential EXCEPT on the following five grounds:

  • You are thinking of harming yourself and/or someone else. We are required to call 911.
  • Another healthcare professional has sexually assaulted you in any manner. A call to their respective college that governs their license is mandatory by the practitioner in question.
  • Your file gets subpoenaed for any and all court matters involving you.
  • You inform us of a child who is minor, an individual over the age of 65 or someone of diminished capacity who you are aware of that is being physically, sexually or emotionally abused; we are required to report that to the authorities.
  • Your lawyer and/or insurance company provide us with a consent form signed by you stating you want us to hand over your file.

The above is not an exhaustive list and may include anything we may have left out that legally covers us and/or requires us to disclose.

So how much does it cost to see you?

Our fees are usually covered by most private insurance carriers (e.g. Manulife), Medavie Blue Cross/VAC, NIHB (must have indigenous status), IFHP, EAP, MMIWG, OAHSSC, and Victims Services/VQRP+ Victim Quick Response Program. Otherwise, our out-of-pocket fees for our services can be found below.
